You can permanently delete your Yalla Club & Play Games account at any time. This page explains how to start the deletion, what gets removed, and what (if anything) we retain for legal reasons.

Choose either option below. Both result in permanent deletion within 30 days. The 30-day window lets us honour data-subject rights under GDPR / CCPA and any open dispute, and gives you a chance to change your mind by emailing support@ovanplay.com before it elapses.

Option 1 — In-app (recommended)

Fastest path — takes about 30 seconds

  1. Open Yalla Club & Play Games.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm twice.
  4. Your account is queued for deletion immediately.

Your account is deactivated at confirmation. Personal data is fully purged within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email request

If you cannot access the app

If you've lost the device, lost credentials, or the account is locked, email support@ovanplay.com from the email address tied to your account, with subject line:

Delete my account

Include:

  • Your display name and numeric ID in the app, if you remember them.
  • The email, Apple ID, or Google account you signed in with.

We verify your identity (typically by confirming the account's email) and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted:

Friends list, block list, friend requests Deleted.
Direct messages you sent Deleted. The recipient's copy is anonymised — your display name is replaced with "Former user".
Direct messages you received Deleted from your side. The sender's copy is untouched (we don't reach into other users' accounts).
Room chat messages Deleted by author. Pinned messages are anonymised in the room they were pinned to.
Game history (matches, scores, leaderboard rank) Deleted.
Voice usage metadata Aggregated and anonymised before deletion. No personal voice data is stored — voice is real-time only (see privacy policy).
Push notification token Deleted.
Purchase receipts (IAP, subscriptions) Retained for the legal retention period (typically 7 years) for tax and audit. Personal identifiers are not retained beyond what Apple / Google require us to record against the transaction.
Moderation records Reports filed by you are deleted. Reports filed against you may be retained for up to 180 days if they led to an action other users may appeal.

What does not get deleted

  • Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately on the platform you bought them on (Apple App Store or Google Play). Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription — Apple / Google continue to bill until you cancel through them.
  • Unused virtual currency (coins, diamonds) is forfeit on deletion. It cannot be cashed out (see Terms §4.1).

Changed your mind?

You can cancel a deletion request by emailing support@ovanplay.com before the 30-day window elapses. After 30 days, the account is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Confirmation

After successful deletion you receive an email confirmation to the email address tied to the account (if any). The confirmation is also recorded in our internal audit log for 90 days for compliance.
